Brief Introduction

Paper blanket refers to the fabric felt used for paper forming and conveying in the paper industry. According to the position on the paper machine, it can be divided into wet blanket, upper blanket and dry blanket, which are mainly used in the press section of the paper machine.

Main Selection

 1. Selection of Width
The width of dry blanket should generally be 5-10 cm narrower than that of drying cylinder surface. If there are grooves of paper guide rope on the cylinder surface, the width of grooves of paper guide rope should be added or removed appropriately according to actual production needs. When choosing the width of dry blanket, we should also consider the different shrinkage of different kinds of dry blanket. Generally speaking, the shrinkage of ordinary dry blanket is larger, generally in the range of 6-10 cm, while the transverse shrinkage of BOM dry blanket and flocking dry blanket is smaller, generally not more than 5 cm, especially when the base net is multi-layer structure dry blanket, the transverse shrinkage is smaller. So we should consider the width of dry blanket properly.

2. Selection of Length
The length setting principle of dry blanket is basically the same as that of pressing blanket, that is, the actual length of winding when the tensioner is placed at 2/5 to 1/2 of the tightening direction. When choosing the length of dry blanket, we should also consider that the elongation of different varieties of dry blanket is different. Generally speaking, the elongation of ordinary dry blanket is larger, ranging from 3% to 5%; the elongation of BOM dry blanket and flocking dry blanket is smaller, generally in the range of 0.6% to 2%, the more the number of base mesh layer of dry blanket, the smaller its elongation.
